Vispring Devonshire

The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, built on a robust, British wool core. It features three distinct layers of wool—from surface to core—designed to balance temperature, comfort, and long-term support. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose, a pairing that keeps the cover soft against the skin while the viscose adds durability for decades of use. Beneath the surface, hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides immediate give, promoting air movement to moderate temperature through the night, while a deeper layer of British fleece wool adds depth and resilience to prevent uneven settling over time.

The spring system comprises a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in King size, each seated in its own calico pocket to respond independently to weight. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, a characteristic echoed across Vispring’s range. The Devonshire is offered in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm tensions, with King sizes available split for partners with different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching reinforce the border coils to the mattress edge, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings at regular intervals to prevent lateral shift and preserve a consistently firm sleeping surface for years.
